What's included in a Silversea fare?
Silversea fares include premium beverages (wine, spirits, cocktails, mineral water, soft drinks, specialty coffee), in-suite minibar, butler service for every suite, gratuities throughout the ship, transportation to and from the ship in select cities, Wi-Fi, and 24-hour in-suite dining. Travel Squad Vacations group rates add additional shipboard credit per suite.
Which Silversea ship is best for first-time luxury cruisers?
Silver Nova or Silver Ray, the two newest Silver Nova-class ships, are our top recommendations for first-time Silversea guests. Their asymmetric design, horizon-facing public spaces, and 8-restaurant variety give the most modern luxury experience in the fleet. For travelers who prefer a smaller, more intimate ship, Silver Cloud or Silver Whisper are excellent choices.
Does Silversea include shore excursions like Regent does?
No, Silversea shore excursions are a separate cost. This is the primary differentiator from Regent Seven Seas, which includes unlimited shore excursions in every fare. Silversea's logic is that many luxury travelers prefer to arrange private guides or independent touring, so they keep shore excursions à la carte. Our advisors can pre-book Silversea shore excursions or arrange private touring through partner operators.
